1.    Tell me about yourself, your family?
I'm a happily married, full-time stay at home mom to a beautiful little girl named Hadley. We live in Austin, Texas and someday hope to retire in the Caribbean or Mexico (we're beach people).

2.    What do you do for fun?
I love to read, cook, travel and do any sort of activity that revolves around the water.  I love being a mom and having a daughter, it's like reliving your childhood all over again.

3.    How long have you been a Mom Entrepenuer?
I had been a stay-at-home mom since the day my daughter was born, but after nine months of play-dates and mommy and me classes, I felt the need to exercise my brain and wanted to make some additional pocket money. I started looking online for different work-at-home opportunities, but was disappointed with the lack of quality resources out there. This is when I decided to launch The Work at Home Woman. To fund this endeavor I worked part time as a social media marketer for a small publishing company, who I still work for today.

4.    Tell me about your business(s) [what you sell/do/etc]? I am the publisher and founder of The Work at Home Woman an online business resource for women and moms who wish to work from home and or become self -employed. My mission is to help women and moms acquire the knowledge and skills to be able to successfully work from home or to become self-employed while providing support, inspiration and motivation.

5.    What made you get into the business? I was frustrated with the lack of quality resources out there, I love to write and this is something I could do while caring for my daughter at home.

6.    What was your biggest challenge in starting your business? It took me 15 months to write the content, assemble it and work with a graphic deisgner to create the logo and design. Working with a toddler can be challenging but I wouldn't have it any other way.

7.    What is your biggest challenge in running your business? I have so many ideas but not enough time to execute them all. The nice thing about having your own business is it's flexible and it can grow as my daughter grows.

8.    What advice or inspiration can you offer other moms wanting to start their own business? Believe in yourself, you can do anything that you put your mind to. Network with like minded individuals and join or get involved with a group of people that support your vision, because having your own business is hard work and emotionally draining. Secondly, make sure that you do a little marketing each and everyday. So many people think marketing is a one time gig and it's not, it is a continual process of trying new things and getting out there.

9.    What motivates you? I absolutely love what I am doing so it is easy for me to stay motivated.

10.    Can you recommend any good resources/websites/networks? I love Tory Johnson's Women for Hire, StartupNation and Forbes Woman.

11.    Why did you join this network and what is your favorite thing about it? I love to connect with new, liked minded women and this is the perfect social network for that.
