Wanted to share this:

Customize your URL shortener. It will always be used for a specific link to a page. Once it's taken, no one else can ever use it.

EXAMPLE (Link to my iPhone app in iTunes App Store):
Long URL: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/creople/id337341197?mt=8
Customized URL: http://tinyurl.com/creople

Amazing stats! Compete.com just tracks Unique visitors to your site.

I'm not sure what to make of compete.com but I'm using Urchin on singlerose.com - here is Nov 2009

Wow, you got 7,492 unique visitors in November! Possibly, you need more referrals to this site. Singlerose.com has much more referring sites. For Facebook, I meant set up a Fan Page. Your postings then can be linked with Twitter...just post once. Whatever you post on Facebook could then link back to this site. Just an idea...

Hey no - should I be? I did try the facebook advertising thing where you can set your daily ad $ limit - but that got expensive really quickly - I will check out those two sites thanks!

Google should track daily, within 24 hours. Another place you can check is Compete.com. It's kind of a neat site where it tracks unique visitors in a snapshot. For instance, I can see September where you had a spike in Sep. 2009...up to 2,662 unique visitors. Are you part of Facebook's "Circle of Moms"?

I put google analytics on a couple sites. How long does it take to start tracking does anybody know?

And how often will it update? The stats I'm seeing for this site have been the same for two days.......
