First School
First School provides a successful and well established approach to preschool education where your child will experience an intimate learning atmosphere unparalleled by any other desert preschool program, in an environment of perfect balance of academic and social instruction. With high but realistic standards, our program is designed to give your child a solid academic foundation. In a stimulating and creative atmosphere, the small class size will encourage your child to listen, learn and interact with our skilled staff, with each class being tailored for your child’s specific age. First School of the Desert maintains a six to one ratio (six children to one teacher) in its toddler classes (18 months). First School maintains a 12 to one ratio (12 children to one teacher) in all preschool classrooms, so every child gets the personal and individual attention required.
At First School, we recognize the child's family as a necessary partner in the education process, and hence are committed to working with parents to build a strong academic, developmental and social foundation for their children. The wonderful thing about First School is that while our students are achieving these great developmental and academic goals, they are having fun while they learn. In addition to the academic approach, we develop your children's social skills with combined emphasis on academic and social skills, leading to well-balanced results. Your child will be academically prepared and socially adjusted to face the challenges in the elementary school years.
Your child's health and safety are paramount and that is why all of our staff members are certified in Pediatric C.P.R. and in California Childcare Preventive Health and Safety!
This is why First School is the place "Where Learning is Fun" !
