ORIGINAL BELLY WORKS DEBUTS AT THE GOLDEN GLOBES GIFTING SUITE PRODUCED BY GBK PRODUCTIONS

Fiberglass Cast Becomes Belly of the Ball with

Celebrities Lining Up to Model Commemorative Tuxedo Belly

Atlanta, GA, January 14, 2009 – Over the weekend, Original Belly Works (OBW) pulled out their tuxedo to participate in GBK Productions’ annual Golden Globes Gifting Suite in Beverly Hills, California. This year’s event benefitted Actor Isaiah Washington’s Gondobay Manga Foundation; Homeless Not Toothless; Educating Young Minds and Hollywood Note Foundation.

To prepare for Original Belly Works’ Hollywood Debut, Founder and Owner, Tisha DeShields created a Gold Belly and a Tuxedo fiberglass belly cast, complete with a boutonniere on the lapel. Both bellies were created specifically for the Golden Globes.

I want to thank GBK for doing such a fantastic job organizing the event. I am truly grateful to have been a part of it. I met a lot of wonderful people and they all made me feel right at home. This was an amazing event and I am looking forward to many more. ~Tisha~

The tuxedo cast was the “Belly of the Ball” as the Hollywood elite, fascinated by the work of art, filed over one by one to touch, marvel and try on the unique maternity keepsake. Celebrities drawn to display included Isaiah Washington; Terrance Howard; Jai Rodriguez (“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”); Tom Arnold; Hoobastank; Kyla Pratt (“Hotel for Dogs”); Josh Henderson (“Desperate Housewives”); Greg Finley (“The Secret Life of American Teenager”); Krysten Ritter (“Confessions of a Shopaholic”); Danielle Nicolet (“The Starter Wife”), AnnaLynne McCord (“90120”), Brigid Brannah (“Army Wives”); Shar Jackson and Stephen Baldwin.

I was really amazed at how much fun everyone had with the bellies, from the celebs to the GBK staff . What was even more surprising, was how the men totally embraced the idea. Many times women immediately grasp the concept and appreciate the value, but this was the first time I had several men totally 'Get It'. And as an artist, It's an awesome feeling to see that your work has transcended the gender lines. ~Tisha~

In 2009, Original Belly Works plans to support a variety of events that benefit charitable causes that are important to its Founder, Tisha DeShields. Participating in GBK Productions’ Golden Globes Gifting Suites allowed OBW the opportunity to share their treasured keepsakes in an intimate setting. In addition to donating gift certificates to be auctioned off, every celebrity that visited OBW’s booth autographed the popular tuxedo belly which also will be donated for auction.
