The Easy Way To Publish A Kindle Book This Week

To celebrate my newest Kindle book The Secret To YOU Making Money Online (Affiliate Marketing For Beginners),  I'm giving it to you this week as my gift.  Go get your copy here

Bloggers - hang out with me this week.  I'm going to take you by the hand and show you step-by-step the really simple way to publish your own Kindle book fast.

If you follow along with me each day, and do the easy steps I lay out for you as we go, by week's end, you will be ready to publish your own Kindle book.

For those of you who publish a Kindle book with me this week, I will feature a section in The Happypreneur Newsletter to include your book, talk about it on social media and include you in a blog post with a link to your book on Amazon.

Are you flipping out right about now because you are not an author and even if you were you could never write a book that fast? Never fear, neither am I, but we can have a book published at week's end, nonetheless.

I'm not telepathic, but right now I know you're thinking "Holy crap! She's out of her freaking mind!" Calm down.  I'm gonna teach you the quick, slick n' easy way to publish a Kindle book, show your expertise, become an authority in your niche, then dazzle and amaze your friends and relatives who think you play Words With Friends on Facebook all day.

Well, we've got a book to publish so you can tell everyone you are a published author by this time next week. So, let's get started, shall we?

  • STEP 1

The trick is to keep everything organized and in one place.  You'll need a way to organize your thoughts, notes and content as well as the system you are going to use to create your books now and in the future.

I use One Note that comes with Microsoft Office Suite.  I love, love, love One Note! You can create notebooks with as many different sections and pages as you wish for your projects.  You can even share a notebook with your VA or partner online using Windows Live Skydrive (free).  Even if you don't have One Note on your computer you can set up a free One Note account on Skydrive. All you need is a free Windows Live account.  If you've ever had a hotmail account, you've already got one.

You can use any organization tool or program you like. You could also do it the old fashioned way and just keep track of everything in a word doc. You will need a way to copy and paste lots of things and keep track of them.

  • STEP 2

What is your book going to be about and how will you come up with the content?  I won't keep you in suspense any longer.  You are going to use your blog posts as content. Your first step is to go through your blog posts and find 5 - 8 good posts written on one particular topic.  As you find them, copy and paste the permalinks to those posts into your organization tool.

The cool thing about doing this is you will probably discover you have a variety of topics with several posts fitting under each topic. If this is the case, start a section for each topic and drop the links of the posts that fit into the proper sections.   Don't be overly critical at this point, you just want to make groupings of same topic posts.

Once you've done that, you'll likely have a few choices of topics to choose from.  Pick one and set the others topics with corresponding posts aside for future books.

Yay!! Not only do you have content to publish this week, but plenty more Kindle book ideas and content for several more!

WooHoo! You're gonna be a published author, your gonna be a published author! (that's me sing-songing and dancing around for you ;^)

  • STEP 3

Now's the time to figure out which posts you will use.  In all likelihood you found more content than you will need.  When deciding, think of each post as a short chapter.  Then organize the links to the posts you're going to use in the logical order they will appear in your book.

That's enough for the first day.

Your assignment:  Get yourself organized, sort through you posts and choose a topic for your book.

That's awesome Grace! So glad the timing is right for you.  You will be amazed at how simple it is to do after you've gone through it once. It seems like everyone wants to make things so difficult. Don't know if it's because they are techies and can' t help themselves or if they think if they show you the hard way that they can charge more. My philosophy is to teach you to build your business in as simplified a manner as possible.  That way you won't get stuck on the technology, so you'll be able to focus your energies on moving your business forward.

Let me know how you are doing with your Kindle book. If you have questions, please ask!

This is right on time! While I still consider myself somewhat of a newbie, I already want to take my writing/blogging to the next level and just this morning was researching how to publish an ebook. I found this information so helpful! Thank you for sharing. I will be working on getting organized so I can proceed to the next step.
